There was a time when making a record meant proving something to me...
 

Proving that I could play... that I could write... that I could produce... that I belonged in the room.
 

I don’t feel that way anymore.
 

At this point in my life, Every Moment matters because I finally understand that the music doesn’t have to prove anything for me.

It just has to be true.
 

After almost ten years of living with these songs... changing... growing... losing some things... gaining others... and becoming more comfortable with the man looking back at me... I can finally hear this record for what it really is.

 

It’s not just sixteen tracks.

 

It’s evidence of a life being lived.

 

Some of these songs came from joy... some from faith... some from disappointment... some from love... some from simply wanting to sit at the piano and make something that felt good.

And somehow... all those different moments found each other.

That matters to me now because I’m learning to do the same thing.
 

To stop separating the pieces of my life into what worked and what didn’t... what was good and what was bad... what I would keep and what I wish had never happened.
 

All of it belongs to the story.
